Today I’ve uploaded 4 designs I’ve previously used. Since then, I’ve completely changed my style, but I figured, it wouldn’t hurt to release this to Photoshop newbies or people who simply want to get a free layout. Again, these are just the .PSD’s…if you’re looking for a full-fledged template, you’ll need to slice/export/code it yourself.

I recently upgraded to Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, and while being a fantastic program, I did have one problem: I could no longer access my girlfriend’s computer in our local network and vice versa.

The fix is simple, though. This is for Vista, however it should work the same for XP, etc.

1. Click the “Settings” button on the top right.
2. Click “System Security” on the left.
3. Click “Settings” under “Firewall”.
4. Go to the “Networks” tab.
5. On your networking controller (wireless or wired, whichever you’re using), double-click it and change the status to “Local”.

Do this on both machines, and you should be back to sharing!

Being a web designer in 2008 is a lot different than it was 10 years ago. Before, you could just use some crap program to make all the code for you, and call it a day. Everything’s changed now that CSS, AJAX and mainly just simplicity have taken over. I’ve gathered all of the things I’ve been using and doing to make myself a better designer and talked about them here.
